Sinem Sefa Akay
Project Coordinator and Research Expert, Development Workshop Cooperative
Sinem Sefa Bayraktar completed a BA in International Relations at Bilkent University and MA in International Relations at University of Nottingham. She has more than 15 years of professional experience in the field of human and child rights, social policy and civil society. She has worked in UNICEF Turkey Office Education and Child Protection Programs and in EU funded projects. Apart from her contribution to various research reports, she is the co-author of “Tarımsal Üretimde Suriyeli Göçmen Kadın Emeği: Bereketli Topraklarda Zehir Gibi Yaşamlar” (Syrian Migrant Women Labour in Agricultural Production) with Prof. Saniye Dedeoğlu from Muğla University in Çağla Ünlütürk Ulutaş (ed) Feminist Sosyal Politika (Feminist Social Policy) published in August 2018. She is at the moment working as a freelance consultant and works as team leader and consultant expert in Development Workshop (Kalkınma Atölyesi) - UNICEF Turkey’s Partnership Programme on Elimination of Child Labour.
