Gökçe Okulu

Climate Adaptation Programme Director, Development Workshop Cooperative

Gökçe Okulu has been working at the intersection of agricultural landscapes, supply chains, and climate adaptation for more than 15 years. Trained as a landscape architect, she has experience in field implementation, research, programme design, and stakeholder engagement.

She has worked with organisations such as WWF and Textile Exchange on regenerative agriculture, ecosystem restoration, sustainable rural development, responsible sourcing, and engagement with vulnerable groups (including farmers, fishers, and rural communities) within agricultural value chains. Her work combines programme design, research, training development, and multi-stakeholder collaboration, with a focus on agricultural systems, rural livelihoods, and sustainable supply chains.

Across her work, she collaborates with public institutions, civil society organisations, cooperatives, and private-sector actors to support programme development and strategy processes through field-based insights and evidence. She is particularly interested in connecting field-level realities with practical and long-term approaches that integrate livelihoods, climate adaptation, and socio-ecological transformation.
